About HandLab

Established in 1997 by Judy Colditz, OT/L, CHT, FAOTA, HandLab provides thought-provoking, clinically relevant education for serious hand therapists and landmark hand therapy clinical products.

Education

All courses are taught by Judy Colditz, an internationally recognized expert in hand therapy with more than 35 years clinical and research experience.  Complex concepts are presented simply and connected to clinical experiences.  Problem solving techniques enhance critical thinking skills.  Therapists return to the clinic with fresh ideas and increased skills which can be used immediately for patient benefit.

  • Self-Study DVD/CD Modules
    • Concentrated modules with continuing education credit are designed for individual or group self-study.  Video on the DVD is accompanied by self-study material on the accompanying CD.  These are the most in-depth, well researched hand therapy teaching materials available.
  • Classroom Courses in Raleigh, NC
    • Live two-day classroom courses held at a purpose-built continuing education center offer therapists immersion in anatomy, kinesiology and treatment rationale with discussion and/or hands-on lab experience that connects to clinical realisty.  Local housing choices provide a pleasant base for the two-day intensive learning.

Clinical Products

During Ms. Colditz's travel and teaching, she has identified some distinctive clinical products not otherwise available in the US and now makes those available to other therapists:
