This is a tube and wire saw system for cast removal. Small rubber tubing is placed over the cast padding before application of the casting material. When cast removal is desired a wire saw is fed through the tube and handles are attached to the saw. The cast is removed by gently pulling the saw back and forth inside the tube until the saw cuts through the tube and the casting material. This system avoids the noise, dust, patient intimidation, expense and potential harm of the commonly available electrical oscillating saw used in the US.
One set of handles lasts a lifetime. Tubes and saws are for a one-time use.
